Preparing for the Task
I first dimmed my computer screen’s brightness. I knew this would require intense concentration, and I wanted to avoid a headache. This turned out to be a smart decision. Before long, my face was just two inches from the screen, and my eyes were in full scan mode.
The Quick Glance
After adjusting the brightness, I quickly scanned the letters on the screen. Sometimes, unique words or typos pop out at me when I glance at blocks of text. Does anyone else experience this, or am I just wired differently? Anyway, my little trick worked, and I spotted at least one B. That’s a promising start!
Getting Organized
Next, I needed backup—a piece of paper. I covered the block of letters with the paper and moved it row by row, revealing each line. I focused on spotting those elusive Bs. I checked across the rows and then up and down, making sure my counts matched each time.
Revealing the Answer
And now, we arrive at the big question: How many Bs are there?
