Karoline Leavitt Under Fire For Using Her Son In Photo Op

There are times when you may do something in life and people applaud you for your efforts. If you do the same thing later on, however, people may start hating you for the same reason.

One person who is learning this very quickly is the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt. She took her nine-month-old son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, to the White House with her, and now she is being trolled for using him as a photo op.

Not long before the first Mother’s Day that the White House Press Secretary celebrated, she was shown feeding her son while typing at her desk. It seemed to be a picture that was innocent enough, but many were unhappy with what was done that day.

The photo was shared by a special assistant to the president, Margo Martin. She is also the communications advisor, and the photo was posted to X for the world to see. Leavitt was even called a ‘Super Mom’ in the caption.

The post went on to read: “Walked in to @PressSec typing with one hand, and feeding her son with the other.”

It was not all that long ago that Leavitt spoke about how motherhood has an impact on her and said that working for Donald Trump takes top priority. She also said that being a mother is something that she loves more.

She said: “I’m very blessed to have this job, and I love my job as press secretary, but my favorite job of all, and my top priority is my job of being a mother, and I have learned quickly how to prioritize my time.”

She also speaks about the ‘village’ available to help her to get her job done while at the same time, raising Niko. Some of those who have been a big help to her include her mother, Erin, father, Bob, and husband Nicholas.

She did say it was challenging, and let other women know: “You can do it. Lean on your support system and prioritize your number one job, which is to be the best mom you can be.”

After the post, some users online trolled the Press Secretary, saying that she was not juggling her duties, she was using her son as propaganda for a photo.

One wrote: “A bunch of federal workers had to go back to the office full time because they were accused of stuff like this. It’s cool if they do it though. No worries. Elites kinda just get to do what they want.”
