Case Involving Multiple

Federal authorities have arrested a Florida-based physician on serious charges related to the exploitation of minors online. The individual, a 59-year-old palliative care specialist from the St. Petersburg area, is accused of producing harmful content and coercing minors into dangerous and explicit activities over the internet.

According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice, the physician has been indicted on multiple counts, including the production of child sexual abuse material and attempting to entice minors into engaging in sexual acts. If convicted, he faces a potential sentence of life in federal prison.

Court documents allege that the defendant used an anonymous online identity to contact and manipulate approximately ten minors. He is accused of instructing these minors to create explicit content and, in some cases, to inflict self-harm. Tragically, one minor was later found deceased in an incident believed to be connected to the suspect’s instructions during an online interaction.

Federal investigators uncovered a pattern of exploitative communications, including video chats and messaging, in which the suspect reportedly directed victims to engage in both explicit acts and dangerous physical behavior.

Authorities have emphasized the seriousness of the case and continue to investigate the full scope of the suspect’s online activities. The prosecution is part of a broader federal effort to combat online child exploitation and protect minors from digital predators.

Law enforcement agencies are urging parents to monitor their children’s internet use and report any suspicious behavior. The investigation remains ongoing.
