Campus Protests

A new executive order recently signed in the United States introduces measures affecting international students who take part in demonstrations deemed to be anti-Israel.

The order allows for the possible deportation of non-citizen students who participate in protests perceived as supportive of designated terrorist organizations. It directs federal agencies to identify foreign students involved in such demonstrations and consider revoking their visas.

Authorities cite existing immigration laws that permit deportation of individuals who endorse or promote terrorist groups,

with specific organizations named in longstanding federal designations. The order is part of a broader effort to address campus-related activity involving foreign nationals.
