McCarthy Predicts Crockett Could Be Voted Out After Scathing NYP Story

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, one of Congress’s most outspoken anti-Trump voices, was the target of a blistering investigation this week that described her as a “diva” who terrorizes staff workers.

Several congressional aides who worked for or with Crockett told the New York Post this week that Crockett, 44, called the fiery lawmaker “rude” and was rarely in her Washington, D.C., office except when the cameras were filming.

During an interview on Fox News, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy spoke with Jesse Watters about the profile and predicted that this could all end with Crockett being “escorted out” of office by the voters in 2026.

“I don’t want to hear Jasmine Crockett talk about helping black women when she just fired one for no reason. This is exactly how she really acts. Those were exact quotes. Not from the opposition, not from Republicans and not from just any Democrats, those were from her staff. She hasn’t been in Congress very long. They say she does not show up, she lays around her apartment, she cares more about press then representing people and she’s known to yell and lose her mind over small random items. We always in Congress have one or two people like this and everybody knows who they are. She’s the one in this cycle who may very well be escorted out of office by voters,” McCarthy said.

“They do this because in today’s politics — it’s true, if you look at her staff, exact same argument. But what happens is, by going on television is how they raise their money. I want the people across this country to look at who shows up to work, who represents you, who’s there working the hardest for you and showing up. That’s an important part. If you just look at how people treat their staff, that will tell you a lot about how they treat their constituents,” McCarthy added.

The New York Post profile on Crockett is full of salacious details and accusations about Crockett.

“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” one former aide told the outlet, adding that Crockett is “never in the office” and “very disengaged.”

The former staffer added that Crockett “freaks out over the most random things.”

Another source says is “widely known” that Crockett mistreats personnel and is a “diva” who is “focused almost exclusively on being an influencer.”

Crockett, a Texas congresswoman in Congress since 2023, is well-known for her attacks on Trump, calling him a “piece of s***” and an “enemy to the United States.” The congresswoman is also known for her critical speeches against Trump during committee hearings, which frequently go viral on social media.

According to the story, Crockett frequently works from a fancy office building rather than her own office and is renowned for demanding that colleagues transport her short distances in a rented car rather than their personal car, which is typically utilized to save money.

During those trips, according to the New York Post, Crockett demands the rented car “has to be an Escalade” or something similar, and staffers are told to open the door for her.

“The staff is really just an island unto itself, because she doesn’t care about the local issues happening in her district,” a source told the New York Post. “She’s more focused on, ‘Get me on “The View,” ‘Get me on this late-night talk show.’”

The report goes on to say that Crockett has burned staff members at a rapid pace due to a “toxic staff environment” that has left Black female staff members feeling a lack of empowerment.

At one point, Crockett reportedly made a staff member cry after saying, “Do you really want to be here? And if not, you can leave!”
