According to forensic lip-reader Jeremy Freeman, the exchange was likely about the recent United Nations General Assembly incident involving a malfunctioning escalator during the couple’s visit. Freeman told the Daily Mail that Melania appeared to say, “You just continued…,” to which Trump allegedly responded, “It was unbelievable.” The lip-reader suggested the conversation referred to the awkward moment at the UN that drew attention earlier in the week.

Freeman believes Melania then replied, “Just say it and leave it,” during the brief exchange. Trump appeared surprised and responded with, “How can you do that…” before the conversation ended.
