Rosie O’Donnell has officially moved out of the United States

Many people, including Rosie O’Donnell, threatened to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump became president. Rosie confirmed she moved to Ireland on January 15 with her 12-year-old daughter, Dakota.

She says life in Ireland is wonderful, with kind and welcoming people. Rosie is applying for Irish citizenship since her grandparents were from Ireland. She never expected to move but felt it was best for her and her daughter.

Though she misses her other children and friends in the U.S., Rosie is happy in Ireland and will consider returning only when all Americans have equal rights. She found the political climate under Trump personally difficult and hopes for positive change in the U.S.
