Donald Trump shows no signs of backing down despite nationwide protests against recent ICE raids. He calls his critics “radical Democrat politicians” and is focused on carrying out the largest mass deportation program in U.S. history.

ICE plans to increase daily arrests from about 650 to 3,000. Trump praised ICE officers for their courage amid threats and harassment and ordered them to use all their power to achieve this goal.

He specifically targeted Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago—cities with large undocumented populations—vowing to expand efforts to detain and deport immigrants there.

Trump accused critics of using undocumented immigrants to expand voter bases, cheat in elections, and grow the welfare state, harming hardworking Americans. He also linked the issue to broader cultural debates on open borders and transgender rights.

The administration is dedicating all resources, including FBI and other agencies, to this mission. By April 2025, about 140,000 people had been deported, though some estimates suggest the real number may be lower.
