JD Vance: ‘Going To See A Lot Of People Get Indicted’ Over Russiagate

Vice President JD Vance stated that “a lot of people” are about to be indicted as a result of the Obama administration’s actions in the so-called Russiagate scandal.

During an interview on Fox News Sunday, Vance did not reveal any specific names of people whom he thinks will be charged, but he did cite recent disclosures from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard as conclusive evidence that there had been “an aggressive violation of the law” about Russiagate.

“Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for account about on the whole Russia collusion, made-up story. Now that DNI Tulsi Gabbard has released all of those classified documents, we’re actually seeing who was behind all of this. Do you want to see indictments?” host Maria Bartiromo asked.

“I absolutely want to see indictments, Maria. Look, of course you’ve got to have the law follow the facts here. You don’t just indict people to indict people. You indict people because they broke the law. But if you look at what Tulsi and Kash Patel have revealed in the last couple of weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say there wasn’t aggressive violations of the law,” Vance said.

“What they basically did is they defrauded the American people in order to take Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points and turn them into intelligence by defrauding the American people, defrauding the intelligence agencies, lying about what the intel said,” he added.

Vance continued, “They would take something that supported a Hillary Clinton campaign talking point, and they would overemphasize it and exaggerate it. They took anything that actually contradicted that narrative, and they buried it deep. And through that they actually laundered Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points through the American intelligence services. That’s a violation of the people’s trust. That’s a violation of what our intelligence services should be doing, and I absolutely think they broke the law. You’re going to see a lot of people get indicted for that.”

WATCH:

Last month, Gabbard began releasing documents related to the Obama administration’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Among the releases was the declassification of a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report authored by Republicans that concluded there was insufficient proof that Russia backed President Trump in 2016.

Gabbard also revealed documents proving that top intelligence officials have evidence that Russia did not hack 2016 voting systems in a way that permitted them to influence the election outcome.

“What they basically did is they defrauded the American people in order to take Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points and turn them into intelligence,” Vance said, accusing the Obama-era intelligence apparatus of “lying about what the intel said.”

Following Gabbard’s revelations, the Justice Department launched a “strike force” to investigate whether there were any criminal infractions in what was discovered.

Last week, US Attorney General Pam Bondi attempted to convene a grand jury to investigate Obama administration officials. Grand juries decide whether or not to indict.

Former CIA director John Brennan and former DNI James Clapper have rebutted Gabbard, citing a 2020 bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report that stated the panel “heard consistently that analysts were under no politically motivated pressure to reach specific conclusions.”

Clapper and Brennan also wrote an op-ed in which they claimed that the 2017 Intelligence Community assessment that sparked Gabbard’s outrage never mentioned “collusion” between Trump and others.

A spokesperson for former President Barack Obama issued a rare statement rebuffing Gabbard.

“The bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction,” spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush said last month. “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.”
