Hillary Clinton Turns Heads With Latest Trump Remark

Hillary Clinton offered rare praise for former President Donald Trump’s handling of the Gaza peace deal during a recent interview, acknowledging his administration’s success in making progress on the long-standing conflict.

“I really commend President Trump and his administration,” Clinton told CBS News 24/7 Friday.

“As well as Arab leaders in the region, for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after,” she added.

Clinton’s remarks came one day after Hamas agreed to Trump’s peace proposal in a surprise development expected to bring an end to the two-year conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The agreement — met with approval from both Gazans and Israelis — provides for the release of the remaining 48 Israeli hostages as early as Monday and calls for a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territory.

Under the plan, Hamas will be disarmed, and a transitional governing body led by an international coalition will oversee the administration of Gaza. The agreement designates the creation of an independent Palestinian state as an “aspiration” for Gaza’s residents, though specific terms for that provision remain undefined.

Clinton, who advocated for a two-state solution during her tenure as Secretary of State under former President Barack Obama, urged the Trump administration to ensure that both Israel and Gaza adhere to the terms of the new peace agreement. She also called on the international community to play an active role in holding all parties accountable to the deal’s provisions, the New York Post reported.

“Let’s now support this process and bring it together, not just in a nonpartisan way in our own country, but literally internationally as a great global commitment to try to bring peace, security, stability and a better future to the Middle East,” Clinton told the outlet.

Clinton also commended the Trump administration for what she described as a shrewd decision to bring Israel back to the negotiating table following Israeli strikes on Hamas leadership during peace talks in Qatar in September.

“That provided an opening for both President Trump and his representatives to marshal all of the regional powers, including, of course, Qatar, but also to make it clear to Israel, ‘No, this is now enough. We cannot continue this. This conflict needs to end, and we’ve got to move on,” Clinton said.

Clinton is not the only Democrat to acknowledge President Trump’s handling of the Hamas-Israel conflict.

Jake Sullivan, who served as national security advisor under President Joe Biden, also credited Trump with bringing the war to an end — though he did so reluctantly.

“It’s only now, after all that time, that we have gotten to a deal,” he said without addressing the fact that neither he nor Biden did nearly as much to try and end the war.

President Obama also praised the deal in a post on X — but failed to mention President Trump as the main force in reaching a peace deal.

Earlier this month, new disclosures from the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into the 2016 election, otherwise known as alleged “Trump-Russia collusion,” revealed a stunning admission from top Obama-era officials.

A newly declassified memo, released by Director of Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, shows that U.S. intelligence officials concluded Russia did not play a significant role in Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.

Paul Sperry, a senior reporter for Real Clear Investigations, reported that sources informed him that there are damning text messages and emails showing coordination between the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign aides.

“DEVELOPING: I’m told there are texts/emails indicating Hillary Clinton campaign aides directly coordinated with the Obama White House, NSC, State Dept and Intelligence Community officials in efforts to dig up dirt tying Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin in July 2016 …developing…” Perry wrote.
