Taylor Greene Drops Big News After Primary EIection Called

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made a major announcement regarding her political future following the Republican primary in her home state of Georgia.

Greene easily secured the nomination for her district and used the X platform to express gratitude to her constituents.

“THANK YOU Northwest Georgia!! It’s the honor of a lifetime to serve as your Congresswoman. I’m so grateful to be your Republican nominee to represent you once again in District 14. Let’s win BIG in November, send President Trump back to the White House, and send me back to Congress to support his America First agenda!” she wrote in a post containing a campaign graphic.

Earlier this year, Taylor Greene faced backlash from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis after the Georgia congressman demanded an official investigation into claims that Willis had an extramarital affair with prosecutor Nathan Wade. Reports at the time noted that Willis paid Wade more than $700,000 to serve as a special prosecutor in his investigation into former President Donald Trump and others.

In her first public statement since the issue surfaced, Willis made subtle allusions to the claims during the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. During a speech before a congregation at a local black church, Willis claimed it was unreasonable to expect black women to be perfect.

Regarding Greene, Willis said that her demeanor had become “filled with hate.”

“Dear God, I do not want to be like those that attacked me. I never want to be a Marjorie Taylor Greene who has never met me but has allowed her spirit to be filled with hate,” she said. “How does this woman, who has the honor of being a leader in my state, how is it that she has not reached out to me?”

“She can tell me, I don’t agree with anything you’re doing, but I do not agree with people threatening your life or the life of your family. That is conduct that is wrong and intolerable, and as a leader I shall not stand for it. How did such a woman come to think that it was normal and normalized that another woman was worthy of such cruelty?” Willis said of Greene.

At the time, Greene had filed a formal complaint with the Republican governor, Brian Kemp, and the Republican attorney general, Chris Carr, requesting that they look into allegations of political bias on the part of the Democratic DA.

Greene went on to assert that if the allegations are accurate, it would reveal “Fani Willis’ serious lawlessness, including potential violation of public oath,” in addition to other laws of Georgia.

The complaint, along with others filed against Willis, eventually led Judge Scott McAfee, who is presiding over the case against Trump and more than a dozen others, to direct Willis to fire Wade or remove her entire office from the investigation. Wade chose to voluntarily leave after the ruling.

Wade was seen at a post-primary election event for his former lover last month, sparking new concerns about her case.

Willis swiftly defeated her Democratic challenger, Christian Wise Smith, by over 30,000 votes on Tuesday night. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC), she celebrated her victory by mingling with the crowd in a glittery blue dress at an event in Buckhead, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Fox News reported.

“Well consider me shook. At DA Willis’ campaign party in Buckhead, Nathan Wade just walked in. All smiles,” AJC reporter Tamar Hallerman posted on X with a photo of Wade at the event.
