President-elect Donald Trump and his wife of two decades, Melania Trump, have remained close over the years.
Despite his official announcement as the Republican nominee for the 2024 election, Melania largely stayed out of the public eye during his campaign.
Donald Trump has expressed that he prefers it this way, with Melania being a “private person.”
In a September 2023 interview with TODAY’s Kristen Welker, Trump was asked when Melania would join him on the campaign trail.
He replied, “Soon, yeah pretty soon, when it’s appropriate, but pretty soon.” While Melania kept a low profile, Trump emphasized that she supports him in her own way,
staying true to her private nature while continuing to stand by his side throughout his political journey.
