A confused father turned to Reddit for advice after a heated family argument erupted due to a decision made by their trusted babysitter on an otherwise ordinary day.

When the man arrived home earlier than usual, he was met with a chaotic scene. His wife was furiously reprimanding their teenage nanny, leaving the girl in tears.

Upon learning the reason behind the dispute, the father risked his marriage by siding with the young babysitter.

The father explained that their 16-year-old babysitter, Daisy, had been caring for their children for years, forming close bonds with the older kids, and even their seven-month-old baby seemed happy in her care.

Daisy’s responsibilities had grown from a part-time helper to the primary caregiver when their children’s grandmother wasn’t available.

On that particular Friday, when the kids’ daycare was closed for renovations, Daisy stepped in to help from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., taking over the grandmother’s usual role. The father,
