Queen Camilla Falls Ill, Cancels Engagements

Britain’s Buckingham Palace says that Queen Camilla has missed a few planned events because she has a chest infection.Doctors told her to rest at home for a short time, but the Palace says she hopes to be well enough to go to events for Remembrance this weekend.

The Queen, who is 77 years old, will not be at Westminster Abbey on Thursday for the opening of the Field of Remembrance. Instead, the Duchess of Gloucester will attend in her place. The Queen and the King took a trip to Australia and Samoa, with a stopover in India on the way back. They got back to the UK last Wednesday

There is no reason to be worried, and the fact that she has plans this weekend suggests that she may just have a minor bug that she could have picked up on her long-haul flights.

One of the events this weekend is the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday. On Sunday morning, there will be a service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall to remember those who died.
